GROW OLD WITH YOU
by: Jimmy Bondoc from the album: Undercovers
I wanna make you smile Whenever you're sad Carry you around When your arthritis is bad All I wanna do is Grow old with you. I'll get you medicine When your tummy aches Build you a fire When the furnace breaks It could be so nice Growing old with you. I'll miss you I'll kiss you Give you my coat when you are cold Need you Feed you Even let you hold the remote control Let me do the dishes In our kitchen sink Put you to bed When you've had too much to drink I could be the man who Grows old with you I wanna grow old with you.

SEASONS OF LOVE
by: Paolo Santos
from the album: Paolo Santos Live! Sessions @ 19 East
Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes, five hundred twenty-five thousand moments so dear. Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes, how do you measure- measure a year? In daylights, in sunsets, in midnights, in cups of coffee, in inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife? In five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes how do you measure a year in the life? How about love? (3X) Measure in love. Seasons of love (Seasons of love) Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes, five hundred twenty-five thousand journeys to plan. Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes, how do you measure the life of a woman or man? In truths that she learned or in times that he cried? In bridges he burned or the way that she died? It's time now, to sing out though the story never ends. Let's celebrate, remember a year in the life of friends. Remember the love (3X) Measure in love. Measure, measure your life in love. Seasons of love...

a lover
"The Interest without the Capital
The lover's food is the love of the bread;
no bread need be at hand:
no one who is sincere in his love is a slave
to existence.
Lovers have nothing to do with existence;
lovers have the interest without the capital.
Without wings they fly around the world;
without hands they carry the polo ball
off the field.
That dervish who caught the scent of Reality
used to weave baskets even though his hand
had been cut off.
Lovers have pitched their tents in nonexistence;
they are of one quality and one essence, as
nonexistence is."

Super Hero
Who's the super hero?
He wanted to help already and fly just like his older brothers. He went to fly higher and far away but his wings cannot take the wind yet. No one is called the fallen' angel. Someone came. She was big and strong and beautiful. She has no wings but she can fly. She is always just on a standby and waiting for some stubborn little angel like he is.

the elephants in my life
"Not too near and not too far
Out of the stress of the crowd
Music screams as elephants scream
When they lift their trunks and scream aloud
For joy of the night when masters are asleep and adream."
----D.H. Lawrence (1885-1930), New Poems, 1916, Hyde Park at Night, before the War.
I am very fond of elephants, and if you would help me i reminiscin' those posts about the elephants in my life last year---you can click here and here. There are some new things going on about them and I let you know when they are ready. For now, I will share with you a cover of a book of watercolor paintings I have started when I was having a problem April last year. Painting those elephants have given me some kind of outlet in releasing my pain and a hope for new direction in my life.

Stormy
"Life is tough enough without having someone kick you from the inside." ~Rita Rudner
In a stormy weather like we are having nowadays, I have found myself looking for comfort in the grounds of the hospital in front of my flat. I don't why but, I always have this little fear everytime the wind is blowing so hard. It must be because of all the stormy weather that I have experienced in the past when I was growing up. (I have shared some of those experiences in my previous posts if some of you can still remember.)Anyway, while walking in the entrance going to the cafeteria, I saw this beautiful pregnant woman. She smiled at me and said, I am having twins and this is my first pregnancy. I don't know what to say really, and so I said, good for you and God bless! When I came home, I have thought that I should make a drawing of her and tried ignoring the wind-rustling, blustering, howling and deep sounding all over my windows and roof.....

men in 1980's
My ex-husband passed by today and gave me some of my old stuff. I asked him what he looks like in the 80's. (we have not met yet during that time-I was too young then-he is older than me....)and he send me this picture by e-mail.. He loves sailing even during that time, and he said he had always worn sailing shoes, he doesn't have to wear pads for his clothes because his shoulders were already broad and big. Khakis were also a fashion in the 80's and long hair and beard. Big and wide eyeglasses, too.
I don't think he will like my drawing that is why I have set the actual picture on the left. One thing I can say, he has really that beautiful eyes and smile.
80's
Here is a drawing of myself way back in 1982. My hair was so big which was the fashion during that time. And look at my blouse!
I think the fashion for shoes and bags and even skirts and pants were in leather. You can close your eyes for the actual picture below or if you will look at it----together with me are two friends-Gina on the left(I don't know where she is now because she had anemia at that time and stopped going to school) the one of the right is Rowena who is now living in Brisbane, Australia. You can also click home to see my other entries.
Greetings
I was late last year and I hope I am on time this year.
Wishing you all the pleasures in life on your birthday and always dear Aravis!

2 in 1
Is it the same person in these 2 paintings? I have made this for a woman that I have met in my journey last year, and then later on she had wished she was wearing a lilac colored dress.
This is the result of a test I did.
I have got this from Caroline yesterday.

You Are 61% Feminine, 39% Masculine |
You are in touch with your feminine side. Sensitive, intuitive, and caring are all words that describe you.And you're just masculine enough to relate to both men and women. |
I have got this from Caroline yesterday.

secret no more
I have promised myself to sketch more , to draw more and to paint more. I have browsed over and over again today- all my previous posts from the very beginning and, I was happy while I was reading them. All my posts are my favorites and, I am so happy to see that my creativity came back which was my little dream when I have started this blog. I was also eager to share my present, my past and my future which I was able to do for my 3 blogs. Drawing, sketching and painting have always been a part of my life since I was a child. There was a time it has helped me financially, while I was working part time as an artist when I was in the university. Actually, it has never failed me to earn some money when I needed it. Although, my career could have been as an artist, I have no regrets at all because I have made my father happy, anyway. My secret(no more) goal nowadays is to learn more as an artist and no matter how long it'll take and, to be able to share it with all of you. Here are two of my most favorite posts Kindly click here and here.

painting roses
“There is nothing more difficult for a truly creative painter than to paint a rose, because before he can do so he has first to forget all the roses that were ever painted.” -Henri Matisse
I cannot finished my painting because I am not satisfied with it. It's my first attempt to paint red roses(usually I paint pink roses) and in a very big canvass. I took a picture and try the filters in PH CS if the lights and shadows were ok but I am not sure still, which way to go to finish it. I do my paintings now in my kitchen where I have really wonderful light-

Buzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Ohh they like to hang out together. They like each other's sound especially when they are singing and sleeping together.
By the way, you will notice that I am using a heavy texture for my images nowadays. Well, it's because I am having a hard time drawing a straight line nowadays. Are my hands so tired? Actually, I am not comfortable with my tablet. Any suggestion?

water
I had a nightmare the other night. I was standing beside my mother(she died in 1993) and a little girl (the daughter of a woman that I know) was standing beside her in a seafront where there are rock fences. We are wearing long dresses in my dream and I think it was hours before sunset. The little girl was so close in the fence that she suddenly fell in the water. We were both surprised and asked my mother, why she was not holding her hand? I panicked and was shouting and said, she will drown and I don't know how to swim(I know in real life but I swim very little))and yet, I decided to jump and won't waste anymore time. Actually, the water was clear and I saw her right away. Her eyes was closing a little bit but, she was smiling at me. I don't know why but, my face was not touching the water. I grab her hand and it seems my hand were extended because I was avoiding my face to touch the water and pushed her up from the water until we reached the rocks and climbed. I cannot remember if my mother was still there but I think she was. What do you think?

last day
It has been raining and the wind have been blowing so hard for days now. I have not gone out of the house for three days straight. I have finished 2 big acrylic painting on canvas. This is the last day of my holiday and, I hope to finish the third painting. When I am in front of the computer I am drawn to paint children together with hearts like this one. Ohh maybe because it will be Valentine's day next month.
