Empty

freshly baked ehe! I mean just finished drawing 2 minutes ago. I find that some of my drawings can fit in - everytime the new topic was released. I was thinking of the desert storm I had experienced in Riyadh and thought I would draw it while I was waiting for something. It was terrible and can't see anything(the illustration is how I saw it-little reddish sometimes.)The desert is usually empty especially during a storm.

I love the red background texture to this one. Your work is getting better and better.

By the way your banner is definitely not working. If you can see it maybe the location of the graphic is one that your computer can see, but is not an address the rest of the web recognises?

I was going to do something like this myself when I can grab the time, but I'm a bit scared of wrecking my blog totally - maybe I'll test it with a new blog

Ahhhhhhh ! That's eerie and beatiful at the same time ! I can hear the gusting winds and buzzing insects just by looking at your illustration, Isay.
My skin is prickling right now and there is the taste of sand in my mouth.

Ah, good times...
:-D

Very cool!

If that were me in the illo, I'd raise my arms until the storm caught me and threw me into the wind - very liberating.

that grainy texture really puts it all together and enhances the mood of the piece, and that red, empty desert is so mysterious, makes you think that maybe somebody else is out there, not so far away...
cheers,

Isay, this is exceptional - there's a wonderful sense of flow and I love the flat contrasts of the colours and sense of space (emptiness) it conveys. Was this done with airbrush?
