Hanging intuition

I usually use my guts in many of the situation I’d been to; my intuition has helped me a lot in my life. But for a while now, I had been on denial…... I did not move for quite sometime because half of me is happy and the other half is not. I was also confused or was confusing myself……or maybe my stubborness has gotten in the way.....Very few people are in my life now, but it seem they have much more strong voices than earlier in my life - where I was surrounded by many. They've given me fears about my survival..... Just before I started making soul collage cards, I had surrendered myself in the hands of God and my destiny. I was exhausted. I don’t want to think anymore, and I had to free myself the burden of decision making. I am searching for peace of mind and more enlightenment......
This card was easy to make because it has spoken right away when I started cuttting the images. The girl is covered by the hand with glove. The circle design(colorful) in the glove represents the difficulties and problems and yet, the glove was covering the hand like it is giving protection and strength and should be taken as a challenge. The images on the sides represent different kinds of experiences we encounter. And the one on the left and with a heart shaped design represents the soul which is not giving up, and trying to wake up from an illusive dream.

Illustration Friday: Theater

Update: image changed.the first image was small and not so clear. This is still a work on progress...
The first time I went to the Theater was to watch the musical "Joseph the Dreamer". The inspiration came when I saw the picture of this man on a magazine and right away, I started making the coat of Joseph. "Colors" is one of the song in the musical and I can still imagine the scene everytime I played the song. It was really beautiful.
This is the narrative and the meaning of the coat Joseph was wearing.
Joseph had a coat of many colors
Joseph had a closet full of dreams
That told how he would one day rule his brothers
And tore his life apart right at the seams

´cause Joseph's brothers sold him into slavery
And sent him on his way to egypt land
And the day the dreamer started out for egypt
The nightmare of israel began

The dreamer made his bed in Pharaoh's kingdom
But his masters woman layed for him
It seems she had her own dreams for the dreamer
And sent him up when he would not give in

But Pharaoh got word about the dreamer
Cause Pharaoh took to dreamin' on his own
Pharaoh took a likin' to the dreamer
Set him free and called him to the throne

The dreams that he interpreted for pharoah
Told about the famine yet to come
He rationed out the food to pharaoh's kingdom
So there'd be enough for everyone

The dreamer sent a message to his father
Said i'm alive and well in egypt land
Said he'd made a place for them beside him
For them to come and share his dreams with him

Joseph had a coat of many colors
Joseph had a purpose to pursue
Joseph had forgiveness for his brothers
The dreamer had a dream and it came true
Yeah Joseph had a dream and it came true

Integral Community

I answered all the questions. ....(Soul Collage Discovery Circle). I did not have any doubts and answered it very quickly. I also gave the reasons why - after I have chosen them. Actually, almost all my answers were the same. Most of them I have already made portrait drawings in the past that is why the inspiration came naturally.
There are two questions that I would like to share with all of you.
Who would you want around if you were ill or sad?
My mother(when she was still alive and yet, I still call her name when I am sick) or Eunice or Hannah or Myla or Henrik(my ex husband) They all have already given me TLC when I got sick, that is why…..
Name five people you would want with you if you were marooned on an island for a year.
Hannah and Eunice are my nieces, they are young, smart, active and caring, fun to be with.
Henrik is a journalist, psychologist, photographer and a very good sailor. We can laugh for hours.... and he has lots of stories to tell.
Paul is a catholic missionary brother(Unfortunately, its been years since I last saw him…..). He is an excellent violinist. He has lived in different countries, have helped a lot of poor people and community. He is also fun to be with.
Jed is my nine year old nephew and why would I take a child with me? I wanted him to learn from Henrik and Paul and to experience some other man figure in his life because his father has been working abroad. He is a good singer and is a happy boy.
I wanted to add my best friend Myla but I don’t want to take her away from her husband and two babies.
The Dreamer
I am the dream the dreamer is dreaming. I like holding your hand. It gives me the courage to smile and it is also contagious. Laughter is beautiful - it gives me strength to hold on more tightly…. During the day I can see you as clear as the blue sky and at the end of the day we silently slumber the night away……

I was surprised with some of my answers for example Henrik.....By the way, one thing about me. I could easily be swept away by my thoughts to neverland.

Illustration Friday: Impossibility

Am I right that many of us have thought about havings wings or being able to fly?
We are each of us angels with only one wing, and we can only fly by embracing one another - Lucretius
"How does one become a butterfly?" she asked. "You must want to fly so much that you are willing to give up being a caterpillar.”
"Angels can fly because they take themselves lightly”
ATC cards hooked me and I am slowly making soul collage cards('waiting for the book.....)

Happy Easter

Here's wishing you all the joy of Easter. I hope the risen Christ will bring good tidings to all of you, your family and your friends.

I woke up early and started cutting and putting these images together and created an easter ATC card. I like it and I hope you like it, too.

Soul Collage Discovery Circle.

This is my first soul collage card after so many years. It was fun making this one and thanks dear Carla of Wings 4 You Coaching.

I always believed that there is a reason why we go through certain things in our life.... I had my share of pain but my faith made me stronger and it has given me courage to look at the brighter side.

I am glad with the girl in this card. She has a smile on her face. She is moving out of the obstacles and finding her way out. Afterall there was that endless road light just waiting to be crossed.....

Illustration Friday: fleeting

Each prayer is more beautiful than the others. I cannot recite them all and not knowing which to choose, I do like children who do not know how to read, I say very simply to God what I wish to say, without composing beautiful sentences, and He always understands me. For me, prayer is an aspiration of the heart, it is a simple glance directed to heaven, it is something great, supernatural, which expands my soul and unites me to Jesus-----Therese of Lisieux

Holy Friday when I was a child was spending quiet time and lighting candles in our home. My mother and eldest sister would take us(myself together with my two younger sisters) to the 3pm long mass in commemoration of Jesus dying on the cross. My father and brothers went by themselves. I remember being bored as a child sitting in the church full of people on a warm weather. But, I always enjoyed the singing and sometimes, the homily of the priest. What I always looked forward was going home after the mass. The whole family would gather together to eat chicken sotanghon soup and native filipino rice cake(that one I really miss).

I was sketching a cake when the new IF prompt came out , so I decided to draw this young woman making a fleeting glance of----ohh yes maybe of the cake I was eating.he he
