Women with load

Here are three of my 2007 evening wear collection for pregnant women.

"And thou shalt have joy and gladness and many shall rejoice at his birth. For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord... and shall be, filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb." Luke 1: 14, 15

"As you do not know what is the way of the wind, or how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child, so you do not know the works of God who makes all things." Ecclesiastes 11:5

"Before I formed thee in the womb, I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb, I sanctified thee." Jer. 1:5

communication

After a hard day's work, the twins will meet at their veranda in their house near the hills. They would sit down on the floor, start talking and appreciate the beauty of their surrounding. From the setting of the sun until darkness envelops their bodies....Adjoining them is their way of being able to communicate and communing with nature.
I have not had so much time to go around all IF's entries-much to my regret. Anyway, I hope to get back to all of you as soon as I can. Have a nice weekend everybody!

hats on!

The hat is not for the street: it will never be democratized. But there are certain houses that one cannot enter without a hat. And one must always wear a hat when lunching with people whom one does not know well. One appears to one's best advantage. --Coco Chanel
You can always tell a detective on TV. He never takes his hat off. --Raymond Chandler

What do you think?

“Today, fashion is really about sensuality—how a woman feels on the inside. In the '80s women used suits with exaggerated shoulders and waists to make a strong impression. Women are now more comfortable with themselves and their bodies—they no longer feel the need to hide behind their clothes.” - Donna Karan
“I wear my sort of clothes to save me the trouble of deciding which clothes to wear.” - Katharine Hepburn
I have not bought any new shoes and clothes since last year (but I was lucky enough to receive some during the holidays.) and then, I saw this blouse and shoes on sale last week. ......'can't help it. .... I was inspired to make a drawing today of my new blouse and boots that has been tried by one of my models. Ohhh I hope I can have a haircut like her.

The Promise

"Promises are like the full moon, if they are not kept at once they diminish day by day" --German Proverb
"Our Lord has written the promise of resurrection, not in the books alone, but in every leaf in springtime." --Martin Luther
"You are not only responsible for what you say, but also for what you do not say."-- Martin Luther
"The best way to keep one´s word is not to give it."-- Napoleon Bonaparte

I am quite disappointed about some things lately and I am having a hard time being creative. I have drawn some lines already in my canvass and it has been like that for weeks now. I don't even want to get up from my bed at dawn when I cannot sleep no more after 3am, usually I paint in the kitchen very early in the morning. Yesterday, arriving from a short holiday, I have forced myself to participate in my regular friday challenges and for the image for this post. You see----
Somebody in my recent past have promised me something but he did not kept it. I am disappointed and confused and felt I was used to his advantage.

the gravity of a promise

crash

The bell tolls every morning and she will get up from bed and go to the chapel and pray. This morning, the sound was different-the bell crashed slowly to the floor.

"One need not be a chamber to be haunted;
One need not be a house;
The brain has corridors surpassing
Material place."
-- Emily Dickinson (1830 - 1886)
I am sorry that I have to put in and out the texts and illustrations of this one. You see, I finally decided that I will share the story behind the illustration in relation with my past.
Where I grew up, there were two churches and they have bells that tolls at 5 am to remind people that the mass is about to begin. There was a time in my life that going to church every morning have become a habit. I have stayed in the nunnery, too--- thinking I will become a real nun one day. The bell tolls for me every day but, one day it crashed like blood clot trying to explode in my veins. I finally decided to go out, finished school and never returned. That is the end of the true story of that chapter in my life.

love is in the air?

This is one of my previous drawing-just added an umbrella and bags and, have used some filters to create this effect.

winter holiday

A road to a friend's house is never long.--Danish proverb

Here's what I have been busy doing this morning. I have to let it dry and do something more when I come back from work. I'll be visiting my friend next week and I thought, he'd like this.

Tulips in distress

This is one of the acrylic paintings on canvass that I have done recently and I have called this one "tulips in distress".

"I love those who can smile in trouble, who can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection. 'Tis the business of little minds to shrink, but they whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves their conduct, will pursue their principles unto death". --Leonardo da Vinci

The sun is shining!

I woke up early and had a nice time playing with my pictures and drawing. The pictures were taken just after summer and last part of autumn last year. Now, I am going for a walk. I have to take advantage of the little time the sun would be shining bright. Have a nice day everyone!

6 weird things about myself

I have been tagged by Ginger! It says I must post 6 wierd(you see i have mispelled this already) things about myself. And post this paragraph about the RULES."Each person who gets tagged needs to write a blog post of their own 6 weird things as well as clearly state this rule. After you state your 6 weird things, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don’t forget to leave a comment that says “you’re tagged” in their comments and tell them to read your blog for information as to what it means. Actually, I am not really good at tagging but I am a willing player and, also because I have not done this topic. But hey, I would be happy if anyone out there would like to do this and you can also tell me so that I can read it.

1. I cry in front of a mirror. Really weird but, the reason is .-- it takes time for me to stop crying and if I look at the mirror, I can see how ugly I have become when I cry (hi hi hi)

2.I like waking up at dawn to clean my kitchen or sit down in front of my easel and paint on canvas..

3. I sometimes cook my favorite soup and that is the only food I eat during breakfast, lunch and dinner.

4. I am a lock-holic meaning I cannot sleep when I have not double checked the doors and windows to see if they were locked and, when I was still married-I have asked my ex husband to do it for me before we can sleep(bwaaaha ha ha).

5. I have watched a lot of crime, lawyer, war, hospital tv series and movies, have read a lot of spy stories and books, have had for morning news(as long as I can remember) about people being killed, robbed, raped etc., that when some of those stories are about to happen or have occurred in real life-I tend to analyze them just like in the stories I have read and watched- that someone said I have a criminal mind already.(you can see my illustration of agent 009-that is me he he he)

6. I like pinching cheeks(if I know the person only) of children and grown ups with round and fat faces.

Sprout

Every gardener knows that under the cloak of winter lies a miracle ... a seed waiting to sprout, a bulb opening to the light, a bud straining to unfurl. And the anticipation nurtures our dream.- Barbara Winkler

I can hear, underground, that sucking and sobbing,In my veins, in my bones I feel it,--The small water seeping upward,The tight grains parting at last. When sprouts break out,Slippery as fish,I quail, lean to beginnings, sheath-wet. - Theodore Roethke, Cuttings

There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven -A time to give birth, and a time to die;A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted.
- Ecclesiastes, 3:1-2

All seed answer light, but the color is different. The plant reveals what is in the seed.- Ancient Egyptian Proverbs

big plate

I had a little discussion with a friend about small and big plates. My friend likes to eat in a small plate because it reminds her to eat very little. As for me, I like eating in a big plate and arrange my food in such a way that I will feel good eating it. I have thought about sharing this today because i am having a hard time washing my plate in my sink. I don't like the goose like faucet they have installed and also the handle-I am afraid that one day, I'll break my favorite plate.
