strings

I am getting ready for my halloween illustrations-and this is one of them. You can see that she is trying to figure out how can she cut the end of the string for her gown without my help.....I wonder what she's up to.

She is protected in this wonderful orange gown! She could use the other side of the string to catch a fresh fish to enjoy the night!

very nice drawing… she is well put together… hopefully she won't get caught on a snag for halloween and come unravelled…

My first thought is of Ariadne from "Theseus and the Minotaur," which implies that she is doing good things with that string.

The colour scheme is so perfect, classic and evocative. The composition is really strong - I love the way her hair, in the darker colour continues done below the ball of string. It's all set off well by the background. Simple, eyecatching and pleasing work!

I like this gown. Do you have it in my size? Minus the string unraveling, of course. *G*
