Spring

I love tulips a lot and I have a collection of tulips pictures from our garden. Here you can find the different tulips that I have tried drawing with colored pencils, water color, acrylic(this one is for autumn!) and digital collage. It is about time that we should celebrate the season of Spring! There's an old song hanging on my head about springtime. Would you care to share if you can remember any?

By the way, I have received a beautiful gift from Miragee today - A set of postcards and about her coming art exhibition in Taipei. This is another reason to celebrate! So many artists are starting to bloom this year! Thousand thanks and congratulations my friend! I like them a lot! I'll share more about it later.

Spring always makes me think of the Beatles, "Good Day Sunshine" -"I take a walk, and when the sun is out, I've got something I can laugh about, I feel good, in a special way, I'm in love with a sun-shiny day... good day sunshine" (she sings off-key)
I liked the water effect in your central tulip. Nice illo, happy spring!

Your illo reminds me of the good times I had in Netherlands a few years ago. Well, I think I'd be content with the flowers in bloom here:-).

Hey, thank you for letting me know that you have received my postcards because no one got back to me and I was kind of worried if my mail would be returned.

Well, today I am going to hang the paintings up. I will take photos of them. Thank you for being so supportive Isay!

Your tulips are very fragile and beautiful, all of them, especially the ones on the right top corner caught my eye.

Very nice and loving picture of your precious tulips. My favorite are the ones before eastertime and the ones we planted as onions around springtime in Iceland!

They are all so nice, each with its special touch!

I can see, that you love tulips - only one who loves tulips, can paint so lovely images. Maybee you have a bigger image?
I don't just now remember a spring-song in english, but in danish we have a wonderful song for spring:

"Det er i dag et vejr, et solskinsvejr
o søde vår, så er du atter nær.
Nu vil jeg gå og købe hyacinter
og bringe dem til en, som jeg har kær."

It was the first verse - in english nearly so (the meaning):
"Today it's sunshine, sweet spring, now you're near again. Now I will buy hyacints and send them to one I love."
Later in the song the author tells, that
"today we have a very special sunshine, I have sunshine enough to many days, and I must kiss every little leaf"
The song belongs to the melody, and it's really in danish, but I hope, you can understand a little, why I like this spring-song.

Hugs from Denmark - where we have had a little spring today - for the first day in the year.
