Insect

Why this fly loves to land and stay on a carabao's body many times on his face and back and lips. The fly must be in love with the carabao or maybe the carabao smells good or bad.
The second illustration is about a boy riding in his carabao at early dawn to plow the fields.
Anyway, you can find out what a carabao is by clicking here.
These are two versions of the illustrations I have made some months ago. Kindly click the images to enlarge.

I love them! What a cute and clever concept. I wonder what media you used. watercolor? What did you do the background with on the fly one?
colored pencil jaimie and i later enhanced them in photoshop CS2 the background is the tool paint and it turned out like that because of the smudges of the pencil on the paper and the line dividing the pages.
You have captured carabao perfectly, I can imagine flys on water buffalos. Interesting link too.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
Isay, I like the way you portrayed the Caribou. You got a real feeling of chunky and solid. Nice job!
Another wonderful work Isay! Great interpretation of 'insect'
Beautiful work. Do more. Please.
Morning Isay, nice work, have a good day, thinking of you, x
Excellent fly in clever location! Beautifully done too.
I love the phantom heart vapours.

Caribou i think must have a hard life, the artwork, is so good on these.
thanx for your comment. i've been reading w'much interest your posts about the brown butterly and carabao...i appreciate your art!
Girl your so diverse! Love it, have a good week!
This is such an original interpretation! Wonderfully drawn. I like the two versions of the drawing.
Great idea for the topic. I really like the perspective and the background effects.
Probably not love so much as symbiotic practicality... but I think I like your explanation better :).
I thought I knew every species of mammal, but I hadn't heard of the carabao before. We have introduced water buffalo in the North of Australia, that are apparently the wild relations of this animal.
Nice reworking and reuse of a picture, but somehow the bottom picture is perfect - it has wonderful structure and mood, and the facial expressions are divine. I love when you reflect your local world like this - really fascinating and your pictures conveys so much!
