Tea

Every weekend since my mother in law died, we see to it that we invite my father in law for dinner. During the first month, I have invited him to dine with us everyday but, he decided every other day until weeks passed by and it became once a week. He said he can cope up already. I have so many different candle holders in our house and I see to it that I lighted them all everytime he comes. He was so delighted with the atmosphere and would always looked at each one of them. I would also light some incense(given to me by Richi) and he would always tells me that it smells good. He always enjoy dining with us. My husband would always cook the food and I will help him. After dinner would be my turn to offer dessert. I have learned to love baking since I got married and I always serve newly baked cake plus a wonderful tea that we partake in the sala while watching television.

I have tried capturing in my illustration what it looks like the teapot and cup with only the candles and television as our light.

Everytime, I would be so happy looking at him having a smile on his face while he was sitting comfortably on his chair eating cake, watching televsion and drinking his favorite tea. I should try capturing that moment and paint it one of this days. But for now, this is the only one I can offer all of you to see.

Glowing edges at stylize filter.
