Surprise

This is a painting I did some months ago but I never had the chance to post or publish it. My inspiration came from a picture taken when I was touring the northern part of the Philippines. There was this place where they sell huge wooden sculptures of people. They were huge enough to play hide and seek or can be use as a welcome statue in your living room or doorsteps.

Your artwork is always so interesting, because there is a story to go with each piece.

Surprised ... I have one of these huge wooden sculptures in the back yard! It will be left behind when moving house because too big and the whiteants are slowly eating it away. I like how you are playing peek-a-boo :)

This is a cool painting, Isay! I love the scale of the statue's face in contrast to your face...did it make you feel small? I hope you're doing well:>>>>>

Another fine piece, Isay. Of course, the statue is nagging at the recesses of my memory (and yes, said memory seems to be at recess a lot these days!)...it reminds me of someone. Wait! I have it! Maynard G. Krebs!
