That wooden archway shaped like a shining sun is rilly kewl ! The flying dove nicely represents a new day of freedom.

I really like the color tones in this illo. The woman is graceful and the bird is for me the best touch. I do have a question. What if the line (held by the lady) that represent the bow is curved instead of straight? How might that influence the whole visual effect?

I love the shining dove the most - I also like the woman's shawl :) The colours are doing a great job of indicating there is a possibilty for freedom - being dark and having a light in the center.

I like the bird--and how it is impossible to capture the bird within the rays of the sun. Perhaps the dark sun with the bars coming from it indicate how sometimes that which we seek, or perceive to be desirable, will actually become our prison. The woman is preventing this by not allowing herself to get too wrapped up in desire.

This is very mysterious and in keeping with this new, sensual direction I'm sseing in your work. The colors are strong beneath the cover of the twilight, and the glow around the bird is perfect. Good job!

Interesting moody and mythical feeling to this illo

What I see is:

The beams are beams and are repeated in the shawl.

The woman holds back yet longs to fly off.

She is ready for a night with her lover but she wonders if wings would suit her more.

Of she is waving goodbye to the bird that she has nursed back to health and which is now glowing with wellness as it flies off.

Lots of stories hide in here.

The spirit as bird flying, floating upwards guided towards something greater - a wistful projection of the women viewing it, a thought, a vision, a memory of someone else?

This is a wonderful piece!
