Somehow this makes me think of the contrast between the fairytale wedding she's just enjoyed, and the unknown maelstrom of marriage she's being sucked into.
This is very funny, and I like it a lot! The background works for me, in that panicky, confused must-get-away sort of way.

That's an interesting illustration! I love the backdrop. Is she escaping into a marriage or is she escaping from one?
Looks like the wave of confusion has taken hold of your beautiful bride. But somehow she seems doomed to be encased in that never ending swirl. She may never escape. Good job!

This bride appears to be holding hands with a mysterious swirling figure who is drawing her away - is this "Escape" personified? There's no sign of any such being in the sequel...
This picture has a lot of energy and I really like the use of flat colour (or absence of colour)against deep, complex shades.
